On Friday September 4th three BHT Heritage clients completed a Presentation Skills training workshop in preparation for the national annual Heritage Open Days weekend.
During the two-hour session the participants considered the aims and objectives of their presentation, how to manage anxiety, dealing with difficult questions and how to give constructive feedback.
The clients will co-facilitate BHT Heritage’s History Trails, which will begin at Brighton’s War Memorial and will follow a route through the town to finish at First Base Day Centre. The trails tell the charming hidden story of St Stephen’s Hall and explore the roles of the Wagner and Cheesman families in the development of Brighton during the 1700’s and 1800’s, and more importantly in preserving our Grade II* listed building.
The workshop enabled the clients to consider the needs of the audience, practice information delivery, familiarise themselves with the trail route, and refine timings.
